Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for, accessing, or using ZeenoSchool, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age, or are a school/institution acting through an authorized adult representative.
• You have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of your school or organization.
• You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
• You will use the Service in compliance with all applicable Indian laws and regulations.

2. Description of Service

ZeenoSchool is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform developed by Zeeno Tech that provides school management tools including but not limited to:

• Student Information System (SIS)
• Attendance management for students and staff
• Fee management and online payment collection via Razorpay
• Homework and assignment management
• Result and report card generation
• Parent-Teacher communication tools
• Timetable and academic calendar management
• Transport and route management
• Mobile applications for Admin, Teacher, Student, and Parent roles

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Account Registration and Responsibilities

3.1 School Registration

Schools must register with accurate and complete information. The school administrator is responsible for all activities that occur under the school's account.

3.2 User Accounts

• Each school can create accounts for administrators, teachers, students, and parents.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You must notify us immediately at care@zeenoschool.in of any unauthorized use of your account.
• You may not share your account credentials with unauthorized persons.

3.3 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. Providing false information, including about student details or contact information, may result in termination of your account.

4. Subscription and Payment Terms

4.1 Subscription Plans

ZeenoSchool is offered on a subscription basis. Pricing plans are available on our website and are subject to change with 30 days' notice.

4.2 Payment

• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis.
• All payments are processed securely through Razorpay.
• Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Invoices/receipts will be provided for all payments.

4.3 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 7 days before the renewal date.

4.4 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you. Access to the Service may be suspended after 7 days of failed payment. All data is retained for 30 days after suspension before deletion.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use ZeenoSchool to:

• Upload, share, or transmit any unlawful, harmful, obscene, or defamatory content
• Violate any applicable laws including POCSO, IT Act, or data protection regulations
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems
• Use the platform to spam, phish, or conduct fraudulent activities
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our software
• Use the Service in a way that could damage, overload, or impair our servers or network
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the platform without written permission

6. Data Ownership and License

6.1 Your Data

You retain full ownership of all data you input into ZeenoSchool, including student records, fee data, and academic information ("School Data"). We do not claim ownership of your School Data.

6.2 License to Us

By using our Service, you grant Zeeno Tech a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and use your School Data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service to you.

6.3 Data Export

You may export your data at any time while your account is active. Upon account termination, you may request a data export within 30 days.

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the ZeenoSchool platform, including software, design, logos, trademarks, and content created by Zeeno Tech, are and remain the exclusive property of Zeeno Tech. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of our platform without prior written consent.

8. Service Availability and SLA

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime for ZeenoSchool. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance. We are not liable for downtime caused by:

• Third-party service failures (internet providers, cloud infrastructure)
• Force majeure events
• Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Zeeno Tech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
• Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
• We are not responsible for the accuracy of data entered by users into the platform.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zeeno Tech, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service in violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Any data you input into the platform that infringes third-party rights

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by You

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Refer to our Cancellation Policy for details.

11.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account with or without notice if:

• You violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
• You fail to pay subscription fees
• We are required to do so by law
• We reasonably believe continued use poses legal or security risks

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your access to the Service ceases. Data is retained for 30 days post-termination, after which it is permanently deleted.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms shall be:

• First attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
• If unresolved within 30 days, referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 of India.
• Governed by the laws of India, with jurisdiction in Indian courts.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email and in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
